After the patch I don't even get to the login screen as it says eve.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close! Reinstalled the client and all ok but after patching same issue. Repair does not solve the issue either.

Repair does not solve the issue either.I have filed a petition as reinstalling a fresh client all day does not a happy person make!, Maybe I should just give up Eve as I ain't paying for something that doesn't work.
the listed file(s) should be removed or deleted from the \bin folder, then rerun the repair tool, as indicated in the first post. If that works, please close your petition; if that doesn't work, you can update your petition with these additional steps that you took.
Followed the instruction above and same issue.

I would be embarassed to even continue with the client. So much broke! wouldn't you just revert and deploy it another time?
Do think I am done to the extent of my current game time. There are NO excuses. CCP makes tons of $$ for Q/A and testing to deploy crap on its customer base.
Sucks for the DEVs to even have to play it off as a MINOR issue and we will fix it later...
I am also considering if it is worth carrying on.

Had areply to my petition regarding "Eve.exe failing to load and the best bit is the highlightrd part, So to let you know All I did was install the patch. Could you please run the game with the following attributes
Go to the directory where EVE is installed and create a shortcut for the EVE process ( eve.exe ) when the shortcut has been created right click on "eve.exe - shortcut" and select properties.
In the shortcut tab under Target add /minidump behind the target line so it'll look something similar to this "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\eve.exe" /minidump
Reproduction step are very important part of the report. Write exactly what you did to make the problem happen. This will help the programmers see where the problem is, and hopefully make it happen on their own computers.
Using the logserver (to minimize problems with this, its recommended that you either restart your computer or check Task managers process list for unresponsive instances of Eve.exe)
1. Find your Eve folder in Windows Explorer 2. When you have the Eve folder open, find "logserver.exe" and launch it (Do NOT have EVE running) 3. Select "File" -> "New Workspace" 4. Start Eve using the shortcut you created 5. When you have reproduced the bug, Eve crashes or when you kill the process if it hangs, select "File" -> "Save workspace as..." and save the workspace in a place you'll find it again.
Finding the crashdump
1. Press Windows Key + R and paste the following line into the Run window.
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\ if you use Windows XP %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\ if you use Windows Vista.
2. Find the .dmp file with the most recent time stamp. Files called #error*.txt are useless.
1. Also run the DirectX diagnostics tool: Press 'Start' and select 'run'. Type dxdiag and hit enter. When you do this, a window will pop up. 2. Click the "Save All Information" button that's located in its lower right corner.
Could also you please run a pingplotter test to test your connection to the server.
1) Download the program from http://www.pingplotter.com/downloads/pngplt_std.exe and run the installer once you've downloaded it. 2) Once the program has been installed, run the program 3) When the program has started, in the top left corner you can find a field called 'Address to trace', in this field type: 87.237.38.200 4) At the bottom left corner change the # of time to trace to Unlimited, and the Trace Interval to 2.5 seconds. 5) Click on the 'Trace' button at the bottom left corner. 6) Now run the EVE client and login. Play normally for an hour even if you are disconnected from EVE. Simply log in again and continue. 7) If you lose connection note down the time you lost connection (please note down both your local time and the EVE Time). 8) Now save the pingplotter files by going to the menu File -> Save sample set... 9) Once the file has been saved, please send it to us by either attaching the file in your e-mail response to this petition or by uploading the file by login into http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/Petitions/MyPetitions.aspx and locating this petition from there.
Then compress all files and attach the compressed file to either this e-mail or by using the attachment box by logging in to "My Petitions" on our homepage ( http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/Petitions/MyPetitions.aspx ) and opening the petition there. An attachment box is presented after opening the petition.
When we have this information we will hopefully be able to determine the cause of this issue.

Have to say they have royally screwed up what is a good game. The lack of information for the paying public shows a great lack of concern and very poor customer service.

What a load of tripe.
They've made improvements to the way it works that will have a lasting positive effect on gameplay that happen to have kicked up a few minor bugs.
"Royally screwed up", "great lack of concern", "poor customer service"? Give your head a shake and stop acting like a spoiled brat!
They'll get to your problems just like they'll get to all the rest of them.
Your lasting positive effect to gameplay would be cool if we could log in! Spoilt Brat lol! Nope just a paying customer.

I hope this won't be the second major patch in a row that I've had to reinstall the whole fricking game from scratch! I'm only getting 150k/s here in Australia!
PS how did you manage to break PI AGAIN? Don't you guys learn from previous deployments and test these things?
Second repair attempt (now wants to DL 590 mb), and a fix is supposed to be to delete the files out of the bin? All these files....?
There's 93 files on the list. Has anyone else got past this point in the reapir? Is there any point continuing?
I wouldn't bother as it is elongated downtime again and a patch to fix the patch might work so I doubt you will get any further responce from CCP until after the extended downtime.
